  2. A well-known scientist at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Juan Arvelo md holds a Ph. D degree in Physics from the Catholic University of America, Washington DC. He has three decades of unparalleled theoretical and practical experience during which he successfully managed many science and technology related initiatives. He is a great communicator, with wide technical knowledge which enables him to develop effective and efficient solutions to achieve the business objectives. He enjoys sports as well as landscaping, music and live theatre.

  3. Juan Arvelo md has authored many patents, technical reports, publications and book chapters. Being an experienced Technical Writer, Proofreader and Editor, he has thorough knowledge of practical technical documentation and knows how to make a manuscript publishable. He serves as Associate Editor of two scientific journals (namely Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, and Proceedings on Meetings in Acoustics, ASA) and advisory board member of a technical magazine. Professional Experience Throughout his career, Juan Arvelo md has held many positions at different organizations and institututes, including serving as Test Scientist at Littoral Warfare Advanced Development, ONR; Physicist in Acoustic Signal Processing Branch, Underwater Systems Department, NAVSWC; and Research Scientist in Advanced Technology Applications at Alliant Techsystems, Inc. Currently, he holds the positions of Instructor at the Applied Technology Institute, Applied Physical Oceanography and Acoustics: Controlling Physics, Observations, Models and Naval Applications, and Faculty Research Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department, Whiting School of Engineering, Johns Hopkins University.
