  2. Become a Volunteer • You have completed the volunteer application. • Contact Maria Orcutt @ 377-6500 when you have completed the application & viewed the power point. • At that time your name will be sent to the Administration Center and you will be cleared as a Level 1 Volunteer. Level 1 Volunteers need to be in the presence of a staff member at all times. • Once cleared, and if you would like to be a Level 2 Volunteer, contact Maria. You will be given a letter for fingerprinting. This letter must be brought to the Administration Center at the time you get fingerprinted. • Stop by the CES office to get your picture taken for your Level 1 or Level 2 Volunteer Badge once cleared.

  3. When you come to school as an approved volunteer… • Scan your volunteer badge for Fast Pass National background check and to log hours that you are volunteering. • Wear your volunteer badge at all times while on campus. • Document hours volunteering in the Volunteer binder kept in the office. • Proceed to area where you are volunteering and assist as needed. • Track any hours outside of school on your own. • Watch for information and instructions in the newsletter, via e-mail and at PTA Meetings.

  4. Corkscrew Elementary Volunteer Etiquette • Please be a good role model for the children and help to keep our school safe for all by following these basic school policies: • Always sign in and out at the front desk before going anywhereon the school campus. • Always wear your volunteer badge. • Silence your cell phone while at school. • Make sure you know & demonstrate the student dress code; you are a very visible role model. • Use appropriate language. • Use outside classroom doors; cutting through to another classroom is very distracting.

  5. Please communicate via e-mail, rather than disturbing teachers unnecessarily during the day. • Please stay in front of the office counter unless directed otherwise. • Do not bring children with you when you • volunteer • The principal must approve anything distributed to students and staff. • Activities in the classroom & around the school are confidential. Protect children’s privacy. • Always ask questions! The CES staff wants to help make this a wonderful experience for all of our fantastic volunteers! • Thank you for all you do!
