    3. 3 NIH Support and Funding We are indebted to the NIMH and NIDA staffs and scientific peer reviewers. During the last 21 years, this research has been supported by NIMH Grants R01 MH 42968, P50 MH 38725, and R01 MH 40859, with supplements from NIDA for each of these grants.

    4. 4 The Baltimore Education and Prevention Partnership BCPSS has collaborated in three generations of education and prevention field trials. They were directed at helping children master key social task demands in 1st-grade classroom. Interventions were tested separately, then together. The first generation will be our main focus today, where a method for classroom behavior management--the Good Behavior Game (GBG)-- was tested by itself and the children, now young adults, were recently followed to ages 19–21.

    5. 5 Current BCPSS Partners Brian Morris, Chair, Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners Dr. Bonnie Copeland, Chief Executive Officer Linda Chinnia, Chief Academic Officer Dr. Ben Feldman, Research, Evaluation, and Accountability Officer Everene Johnson-Turner, Deputy CAO-Elementary Sue Cutter, Area Academic Officer James Smith, Area Academic Officer LaVerne Sykes, Director, Parent and Community Involvement Tom Bowmann, Director of Teacher/Principal Quality Team Dr. Brenda Kelly, Consultant, Early Childhood Education
