Unknowns: (Benefits) • Increased awareness of the correlation between EXPLORE, PLAN and ACT • Gained awareness of the correlation between EPAS and LEAP/GEE • Learned teaching strategies to implement GLE’s (Comprehensive Curriculum) side by side with EPAS Standards for Transition • Correlated EPAS with GLE’s to target the same skills • Improved collaboration between the EPAS team, teachers, and students What is being asked?   10. Process/Solution: EPAS Update • Aug. 11, 2005 – first school professional development on EPAS • Used faculty study group meetings to discuss EPAS results and projections of student performance on LEAP/GEE • Continuous monitoring of EPAS Standards for Transition on lesson plans.

Periodic meetings with school administrators regarding EPAS projections on LEAP/GEE, EPAS activities, and professional development • Implementation of various teaching strategies that target EPAS Standards for Transition • Communication via Blackboard with EPAS Program Directors, school EPAS team and other school EPAS teams

  12. Final Answer: Future EPAS teams have nothing to loose and everything to gain by participating in the EPAS Project. • Teams can expect teachers to be more aware of teaching strategies to improve student performance on standardized tests.

  13. Student scores will improve. • Students will be better prepared for college or any post secondary education. • Collaboration will increase between teachers and administrators.

Check: (Future Goals) • To continue using EPAS as a tool for improving student achievement. • To continue analyzing EPAS school reports and sharing them with the teachers for use in their classrooms. • To continue communicating with other EPAS schools, EPAS program coordinators, and SREB. • To continue attending EPAS professional developments as it becomes available.
