  2. Ronald Reagan’s “ Early Life” Ronald Reagan was born on Feb. 6, 1911 in Tampico, Illinois. He had a dad named John and a mom named Nelle. His brother’s name was John Neil. Neil and Ronald were best of friends. Neil worked as a shoe salesman. Ronald and Neil loved to play sports together. Ronald worked as a lifeguard for a while. Ronald was nearsighted.

  3. Ronald Reagan’s “Life Before He Was President” In 1928 he went to Eureka College. He graduated College in 1932. In 1937 he was a successful movie actor and he moved to Southern California. During World War II he served in the Armor Air Corps. In 1940 he married Jane Wyman and had a daughter and an adopted son; but they divorced in 1948. in 1952 Reagan married Nancy Davis. They had a son and a daughter. Reagan was a democrat in the 1940’s, but in 1962 he switched to the Republican party. He was the governor of California from 1966 – 1980.

  4. Ronald Reagan’s “Being President” Reagan was the 4th president. Reagan wassa republican. His Vice President was George H. W. Bush. Reagan reduced the role of federal government. He also built up the military to protect the U.S.A. from the Soviet Union. He retired in 1989.

  5. Ronald Reagan’s “Later Years” After being president he spent time at his ranch riding horses, writing memoirs, and giving speeches. In 1994 he revealed that he had Alzheimer’s disease. He died on June 5, 2004 in his California home. He was 93 years old at that time.

  6. Ronald Reagan’s “Fun Facts” As a lifeguard Reagan saved 77 people from drowning. In 1981 Reagan appointed the first female justice to the U.S. Supreme Court.
