  2. Who are the predators? Why are they endangered? Who are they predators? Predators of pandas are very rare. The pandas main enemy is us, man. People hunt them for their beautiful fur. Human destruction of their natural habitat is their biggest threat and has put pandas on the edge of extinction. Another enemy is the snow leopard. It is an enemy of the panda’s cubs who wander out of their mother’s protective shield. Pandas try to avoid people and where they are living, but if they travel near by, roaming dogs attack the pandas vigorously and can fatally injure or kill them. How to help the Pandas. Another reason why they are endangered is because of China’s increasing population that is using up their resources very rapidly. Pandas are poached for their skin and soft, thick fur, they are usually poached by foreigners. Pandas prefer to be solitude most of the time and have a very short breeding season. Only one or two cubs are born at a time. The mother looks after only one of them until it is one or two years old. A female panda doesn’t mate while caring for a cub.
