  1. The Pandas are dying! You can help save them.

  2. Habitat Originally pandas lived in the mountain forests and low lands of western and southwestern China. Unfortunately farmers living in the lowlands started cutting down the bamboo as a building material and firewood. This forced the pandas to move out of the lowlands and valleys into the mountains so they have a available food source.

  3. Diet The panda’s diet is the main reason they are endangered although they can eat many pants their diet tends to consists of 99% bamboo shoots and leaves. Not only is this all that that’s pandas eat but they need to eat a lot of it, 10-18 kilograms a day (22-40 lbs) because of this need for food there habitat can’t expand so relocating pandas is quite hard Fun Fact: Pandas spend 12-16 hours a day eating.

  5. Behavior Pandas are solitary creatures, spending most of their time isolated from other pandas. In the spring pandas seek each other out to mate. Panda cubs stay with their mothers for 18 months. Panda bears show aggression by issuing a sound somewhat like a bark. Female pandas start mating at 5-7 years of age and give birth to 1-2 cubs each year, because of he intense amount of care a single cub needs the second cub rarely survives. Ps: Pandas are quite capable of climbing trees.
