  2. OZONE FACTS • The estimate for the air is 80% healthier within the next 10 years. • when the air feels thick means there is ozone in the air. • If ozone is 193 or higher it could cause heart problems.

  3. AirPollution • the state can not afford to wait for the government to protest for it’s citizens danger to nitrogen oxide pollution. • Air pollution causes millions of asthma attacks each year in the U.S. • but the level of nitrogen oxide has increased by 20% over the last 30 year.

  4. MORE FACTS • since the clean air act was adopted in 1970 , our nation has made great strides for reducing harmful pollutants from our air such as sulfur dioxide. • people with asthma and hay fever should not go outside with high percent of ozone in the air.

  5. POWER PLANTS FACTS • Most of the coal-fired power plants are located in the eastern half of the country. • 21% of nitrogen comes from power plants. • power plants make air pollution and air pollution makes acid rain.

  6. Extra Facts • Ozone is one of many pollutants. • Based on air quality data from 2002, “approximately 146 million people live In counties where air was unsafe to breath. • Microscopic particles can be breathed in deep Into the lungs and causes significant health threats.

Experiment information Within the next two days I will do my usaul amount of time then the other two I will try to save energy, to try to make less energy to make the air a little more cleaner little by little. • Day 1 :14 mins for my radio • Day 1: 33mins for the light • Day 2:17 mins for the radio • Day 2: 25 mins for my light Continue on next slide

  8. Extended Experirment information time to save energy • day3: 12 mins on light • day3: 4 mins with radio • day4:15 mins with lights • day4: 6 mins with radio do you see the difference?

  9. Random Facts for air pollution • when the trees start to suffer we suffer if the air gets very dirty it affects trees. • If you use a little bit of energy you can aprove the air.
