Welcome to 4th Grade!. If we all work together as a family, we can all be successful!. Allow me to introduce myself . My name is Jane Kirby. My husband is Wayne, and we have three children. Our daughter Kate, her husband Troy, and their son Camden live in Louisville.

  1. Welcome to 4th Grade! If we all work together as a family, we can all be successful!

  2. Allow me to introduce myself • My name is Jane Kirby. My husband is Wayne, and we have three children. • Our daughter Kate, her husband Troy, and their son Camden live in Louisville. • Our son Daniel and his wife Kelly live in South Carolina and have a two-year-old named Thomas. • Our daughter Lou Anne and her husband Max live in Louisville, and they are electrical engineers.

Grades will be given on the report card Reports will be sent home bi-term and quarterly Students will change classes and have all three teachers Homework is given when needed Students will work independently and in groups Assignment books will be filled out each day and must be signed each night Differences from primary

  6. Monday Messenger • Will be sent home each Monday • Contains work completed to keep at home/work to be signed and returned • Contains a conduct sheet which must be signed and sent back with the folder

  7. Discipline • Rules and expectations are made clear at the beginning of school • Positive reinforcement is used whenever possible • Repeated misbehavior will result in lower conduct grade, lost privileges, parent contact, or discipline referral to principal

  8. Supplies • Wide-ruled loose leaf paper • Trapper Keeper or other zippered binder • Pencils and pencil pouch • Tissues • Disinfecting wipes • Please DON’T send toys, large boxes of markers or crayons

  9. Open House/First Day Folders • Please read ALL papers (You have to do your homework, too!) • Keep magnets, Alvaton Handbooks, District Student Handbook, and menus for your use at home • Sign and/or fill out and return the AUP form, yellow card, and emergency card ASAP! • Free and reduced lunch form, medication form, and insurance form-fill out as needed.
