  2. Here are the paragraphs that you are going to have to complete for your next Controlled Assessment: • 1. A description of a recent holiday you have been on – where you stayed, how you got there, when you went, etc... • 2. What you did whilst you were there • 3. Your opinion of the holiday • 4. What type of holiday you like best and why • 5. Your plans for your holiday next year • 6. Why you think you should win the competition.

  3. **Very important points** • You need to have: • Detail – describe everything • Variety – avoid using the same word all the time! It’s boring! • Linking Words – use these to form longer & more interesting sentences • Accuracy – check Spellings, Accents, Word Order, Agreement (masc. & fem.) • Refer to the Past, Present and Future!! • Lots of opinions and justify them Your whole piece of writing should be between 250 and 300 words – that is between 42 and 50 words per paragraph!
