  2. Classification • Review your classification notes! • How do you classify living organisms? Domain, Kingdom, Phylum, Class, Order, Family, Genus, Species • How are the 3 domains organized? By Archaea, Bacteria, Eukarya – whether the organism has a nucleus or not • Factors in an ecosystem: Abiotic factor – non living Biotic – living • Prokaryotic cells – contains no nucleus, simple • Eukaryotic cells – contains a nucleus, complex

  3. Ecosystems • Population – all organisms of one species • Community – populations of different species that interact together • Ecosystem - all communities…abiotic/biotic factors

  4. Layers of the Earth • Where do most earthquakes occur? Along fault lines (tectonic plate boundaries) • Layers of the Earth – Lithosphere, Asthenosphere, etc…refer to notes • Igneous, Metamorphic, Sedimentary Rocks – know what they are and how they are formed

  5. Tips for studying for the CBA • The questions are thinking questions and are designed for you to THINK! You will need to understand the information rather than simply memorizing it. • Find a study method that works for you: Buddy study, ask yourself questions, go over and over the material, use your notes and your books to review.

  6. CBA info • There are 25 questions.Each worth 4 pts • -2 A • -5 B • -7 C • -8 or more is failing
