  1. Unit 1 Revision: Reaction Rates Q.1 When green copper carbonate is added to hydrochloric acid solution a rapid reaction takes place in which a gas is given off and a blue solution is formed. Give two pieces of information which would prove that a chemical reaction had taken place. Answer:- 1) In the reaction a gas is formed. 2) In the reaction there is a colour change – the green copper carbonate changes to a blue solution.
