Bylaws Timeline • The Committee on Bylaws (COB) issued a Call for Amendment Proposals on October 15, 2018. • The COB received a set of proposed amendments from the Board of Directors. • Field Comments closed on February 19, 2019 with commentaries from Colorado and Maryland. • The COB sent a memorandum to the Board, seeking clarification on some of the questions received. The Board’s response was published on May 9, 2019 and can be found in the discussion forum on C/SNA Essentials. • C/SNA and IMD representatives will have the opportunity to discuss the proposed bylaws and dues policy amendments during and offer their opinions/suggestions during the Bylaws Hearing on June 21st from 10:40am – 11:50am. • Voting will take place on June 22nd from 7:00am – 9:00am. Enterprise Strategic Planning UpdateVision – Mission – Values – Definition • Reached consensus on an ANA Enterprise Vision Statement • A healthy world through the power of Nursing • Will engage the three boards in work r/t Mission (retain separate or align to one) • Reached consensus on developing one set of Organizational Values for the ANA Enterprise • Engaged the staff Culture Team and an external consultant to facilitate this work • Drafted a preliminary definition of “the ANA Enterprise”: • The ANA Enterprise is the family of organizations that is composed of the American Nurses Association, American Nurses Credentialing Center, and American Nurses Foundation.The three organizations work together as a cohesive system to achieve the Enterprise vision, advance their mission(s), and embody the Enterprise values. 28
