  3. Ecclesiastes 3:1-10 “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: (2) A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which isplanted”

  4. (3) A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; (4) A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;”

  5. (5) A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; (6) A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;”

  6. (7) A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; (8) A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”

  7. (9) What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? (10) I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.”

  9. Here We Are Again? • Same Ol’ Same Ol’? • “What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?” Ecclesiastes 1:3

  10. What profit…under the sun? • Happiness? • Contentment? • Satisfaction? No! No! Can’t get no! “All is vanity and vexation of spirit.” Ecclesiastes 1:14 “As senseless as chasing the wind.”

  11. How Did Solomon Reach This Conclusion? • Based upon personal experience – Ecclesiastes 1:1-2:26 • Also from personal observations – Ecclesiastes 3:1-6:12 • Life Is A Bummer!

  12. Start A New Year Like This? • Unnecessarily! • However, it is what most choose! • Mankind needs to realize that this is the byproduct that atheistic evolution demands!

  13. What Is The Answer? • Instead of same ol’ same ol’? • To escape the futility of the vicious status quo cycle? • How can we approach a new year with real hope? • Not a “What” but a “Who”

Are You Wayward? “Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.” (Acts 8:22) “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16)
