FY 2017 Final Numbers • $105,517,694 Distributed Among the States (94%) • $5,260,505 available for the National Non-Profit Organization Grant Program (5%) • $1,494,738 Survey Grant Program Year 1 (1%) • RTI International FY 2018 Estimated Numbers • $97,555,364 Distributed Among the States • $5,134,493 available for the National Non-Profit Organization Grant Program • $1,499,999 Survey Grant Program Year 2 • RTI International • Sequester and Recoveries not taken into consideration

FY 2017 Non-Profit Organization Awards • 52 applications received totaling $15.7 million • 37 proposals funded totaling $5,260,505 • Largest Grant Allocations • NASBLA -$1,149,237 (22%) • National Safe Boating Council - $760,000 (14%) • US Power Squadrons - $710,000 (13%) • Water Sports Foundation - $585,000 (11%) • American Canoe Association - $500,000 (10%)

Non-Profit Organization IBWSS Mandatory Attendance • Grant condition for the past several years • Present grant project/deliverables to the public • IBWSS costs are allowable under the award • Low attendance at the non-profit organization breakout sessions • Looking to remove the condition • Thoughts on public awareness of grant projects and deliverables

FY 2018 National Non-Profit Organization Grants Part 1 • Areas of Interest included • Risk Assessment of applicants • Updated score sheets and change in reviewers • Project narrative better explained; page limits incorporated for specific sections • 1 page for executive summary • 1 page for agency description • 10 pages for narrative • Deadline of January 26, 2018

FY 2018 National Non-Profit Organization Grants Part 2 • Change in review process • More in-house reviewers • Grant reviewers discuss as a group and one Divisional recommendation to BSX • No mandatory IBWSS condition • Project narratives to explain roll-out process for program deliverables • Funds may still be used for IBWSS attendance with GTM approval • CG-5PC remains final program approval authority

  7. FY 2017 Grant Trainings • 2 CFR 200 Uniform Administrative Requirements (2 day class) • 4 classes held • Tallahassee, FL class moved to November 2017 (5th) • 94 students attended • 31 States • 14 non-profit organizations • Trainings continue in FY 2018 • Managing grants for Federal Recipients (3 days) • Waiting for feedback on locations.
