Earth Observation WG APAN Honolulu 2004 • Roles • Development of distributed archive and access to EO data • Development of interactive mapping / analysis systems • Current Activities • Satellite data transfers from US to MAFFIN, JAXA & NUS-CRISP • Satellite data exchange between AIT-Thailand and MAFFIN • Plans • MAFFIN and NECTEC archive and service of NOAA’s NPP and NPOESS data, and NASA’s GEO-Cover global Landsat database • Precipitation monitoring in the AP region using microwave imagery • Satellite data distributed archive and access based on Grid • Earth Observation Summit • EOWG Is ready to represent APAN for EOS
