Bancroft Berthing • All NASP personnel will be berthed in 6th and 7th Wings (all other wings are off limits) • NASP Check-in: 6th Wing Batt Conference Room • Normal Working Hours: 0700-1700 • NASP Duty Officer Available in the evening • NASP phone numbers • 6th Wing: 410-293-5160 • 7th Wing: 410-293-5170 • Once checked in, you will receive room assigned to you ahead of time. DO NOT SWAP OR CHANGE • Only bring items you will need • Space is limited and you will NOT keep the same room if your training leaves the yard. STORAGE IS LIMITED! • YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN LINEN! • NO SQUATTERS – everyone residing in a room must be checked into NASP

Block 1 Check-In • NASP assumes responsibility for midshipmen immediately following graduation • Check in Uniform: Khaki or Summer White • ALL Midshipmen on First Block must check in on 29 May • Midshipmen may take a weekend if eligible AFTER checking in with the NASP Office and being assigned a room.

  5. 29 May Check-in Excusals • Mids on Block 0 Fleet Cruise or PTE • Mids on approved leave chit from CO /SEL • BRING THIS CHIT WITH YOU WHEN YOU CHECK-IN • Mids who start Block 1 training after 31 May • MIDS WHO FAIL TO CHECK INTO NASP ON TIME WITHOUT A VAILD REASON WILL BE GIVEN TOURS AND RESTRICTION ON THE FOLLOWING WEEKEND (OR FIRST WEEKEND BACK ON THE YARD)

Summer Training Info • MIDS Web Access (accessible off Yard) • https://midsweb.usna.edu • Summer Training Intranet Site (Yard only) • http://intranet.usna.edu/Training/SummerTraining.php • Midshipmen email (accessible off Yard) • Gmail.usna.edu • Check everyday, at least two weeks prior to the beginning of a new block BE ON TIME, IN THE CORRECT LOCATION, & PREPARED

Fleet Cruise Departure Brief • Aviation, Submarine, Surface, Leatherneck, SEAL, EOD, RL/SC, IWC, CEC • Uniform is inspection ready Summer Whites w/ a fresh shave & haircut • Muster will be taken – If unable to attend, contact STDO as soon as possible prior to brief • Orders and e-tickets (if applicable) will be distributed • Travel plan will be briefed – Bus times will be announced • Medical records are online and not required to be carried by midshipmen • Bring your screening forms/chits (as applicable) • IA Training Certificates • Av/Phys • Up-Chit • Sub Screening • High Risk Training Screening • Approved Independent Travelers call STDO for a phone brief

  9. Briefs – When and Where NOTE:  If the number of midshipmen for a departure brief exceeds the capacity of the Planetarium, an alternate location will be used.  Midshipmen will be notified of the alternate location via an e-mail.

Aviation, Surface, Sub Cruise Organization • Midshipmen-in-Charge (MIC) • Group Leader • Primary role: maintain accountability and communication • Midshipmen Embarkation/Debarkation Teams (MEDT) • Norfolk • Jacksonville/Mayport • Seattle • San Diego • Unit CoC • Running Mate / DIVO • Midshipmen Training Officer (MTO) • Department Head • CMC / XO / CO • Regardless of training type, always use the chain of command

How to conduct yourself • Represent USNA and the Navy • Work hard • Impressions are important • Wear a squared-away uniform or appropriate civilian clothes • Be on time and prepared • Use good headwork. If it doesn’t seem right, don’t do it. • Use social media responsibly • Remain within your security clearance (None, SECRET, or TS) • Enjoy yourself • Have a battle buddy on liberty • Do not go to off-limits liberty areas (i.e. Tijuana) • Your MTO or host POC will brief you on liberty rules • Conduct issues will be addressed by: • Unit CO and/or • The Commandant

Battle buddy Abide by the liberty boundaries, attire guidelines, curfews, and accountability procedures established by: Your unit Commanding Officer Your Officer or Faculty Rep USNA IPO Director Alcohol 1 non-drinker per every 4 drinkers Non-drinker must not have had a drink within 12 hours and be free of the effects of alcohol Drinking age will conform to the legal age set by the host country In the absence of any local law, minimum drinking age shall be 21 Overseas Liberty

Execute your orders Vouchers If returning to the local area, you shall not depart local area until voucher complete Voucher must be completed within 5 working days of return Summer Training Travel Office (Bancroft 2016) Reimbursement for per diem, incidentals, BWI Super Shuttle, DC Metro, cabs Zero balance receipts No cash advances Take $250-300 for incidentals Take a personal credit card Travel Guidance

Contingencies • Purchase changeable/refundable tickets for leave • Report change in medical status • Contact BMU and inform the STDO of any changes ASAP • Emergency/Emergent Leave • AMCROSS • Immediate family in most cases / Brigade family in some cases • You may not: • Deviate from your orders • Change your travel itinerary • Go on leave without CO/SEL approval • When in doubt, contact the STDO
