  2. HONG KONG -- A large-scale incident involving some 2,000 Foxconn Technology Group factory workers has forced the closure of one of the tech supplier's plants in China, the company confirmed Monday. The company described the incident as a "personal dispute between several employees" that escalated to include thousands of people. Some 40 people were taken to the hospital. According to the statement from Foxconn, it took 5,000 local police to gain control of the situation by 3 a.m., some four hours after the dispute began. Foxconn employs 79,000 workers at the facility. Production at the plant has been halted, but Foxconn said in a second statement that the factory will resume activity on Tuesday.

  3. In Other News A second day of rescue efforts in Nepal ended Monday with three people still missing after an avalanche that killed at least eight people on the mountain of Manaslu. Rescue workers who had been at the mountain Monday said that many of the mountaineers initially reported missing had been accounted for. But hopes were quickly fading of finding the three missing. In the end, the Tour Championship was just another golf tournament, although it must be said that the winner's check came with an extra zero. There was no seismic shift in the golf landscape. The FedEx Cup ended in perfectly respectable fashion, with Brandt Snedeker taking the $10 million bonus, not to mention another $1.44 million for winning the tournament. Showtime's psychological thriller "Homeland" upstaged the more established dramas at the 64th Primetime Emmys Sunday night, winning four Emmys, including the top drama series honor. ABC's "Modern Family" also captured four comedy awards, including the top sitcom prize, to continue its comedy series domination at the Emmys.
