  6. MCA Highlights • SPPS average % proficient increased 1% while the state average % proficient decreased by 1%

  7. MCA Highlights • Elementary schools: 18 made gains against the state average in 2010. This year 26 made gains against the state average

  8. MCA Highlights • Jr. High: 2 schools made gains against the state average in 2010. This year, 6 made gains against the state average.

  9. Science MCA’s • MCA III’s will be administered this spring • All teachers should be using the 2009 standards and test specs
