  2. Garbage disposal There are several ways to get rid of the garbage. • House garbage • Glass disposal • Pant principle • Paper disposal • Garbage disposal place

  3. House garbage • We have a garbage bin in the kitchen of the houses, typically under the sink. We throw all our garbage in there. Garbage that are flammable such as: • Foot leftovers • Juice and milk cartons • Dirty packaging • Pizza trays • Soot an ash(must bee could and wrapped) • Diapers and napkins • Paper towels

  4. House garbage • The garbage is thrown in a big bin witch is emptied by the municipalities, and taken to the combustion station.

  5. House garbage District heating – recycling system. The garbage gets delivered at the Combustion Station and they burn the garbage, sends heating out to the homes in that district, to reuse the heat.

  6. Glass garbage. Sort of recycling: • All glass packaging – jam jars, mustard glass, • All bottles without deposit - for example wine bottles, chocolate milk bottles, Cooking oil bottles. Sort of recycling: • Newspapers • Information Letters • Envelopes • Advertising • Drawings • Directories • Magazines

  7. Glass garbage. • The glass is collected and sorted out, so the bottles that are still intact gets chemical cleaned and refilled. The bottles that are broken gets remelted to new bottles.

  8. Pant principle • You can get money back for bottles and cans, which you have paid a deposit for, or provided with recycling marks. You will get the deposit when you return the empty bottles and cans in the kiosk at the grocery store or reverse vending machine at the supermarket.

  9. Paper garbage. • If its paper like: Newspapers, letters, brochures, books, advertising newspapers, office paper. It gets sorted to it self, and then send to private paper mill and reused. • Why recycle paper: Its more profitable to recycle cardboard and paper than to burn it. Manufacture of recycled paper requires fewer resources than ,making new paper from wood

  10. Horsens Recycling place If you have something you want to get rid of, but its to big for the ordinary garbage bin, you take it to the recycling place, and dump it in the container that’s specific to your garbage material.

  11. Horsens Recycling place • Each container on the site, is intended for a particular type of waste. Such as: • Concrete/bricks • House appliances( washing machine, dryer and stove) • Iron and metals (bicycles, cans, pots and pipes.)

  12. White goods • White goods are specially difficult to get rid of. So the appliances are covered by producer responsibility, which means that it is the producers who must jointly ensure proper disposal of the equipment.
