  1. Grammar 1. The Future (Buduća vremena) Engleski jezik nema samo jedno buduće vrijeme. Koristimo nekoliko oblika da bi izrazili različite ideje o budućnosti. Budućnost se izražava slijedećim oblicima: • Will + infinitive without to • Be going to + infinitive without to • Present Continuous • Present Simple

  2. Grammar 1. Will + infinitive without to FORM Affirmative (Potvrdni oblik) se tvori od modalnog glagola WILL i infinitiva bez TO glagola koji nosi značenje: I will (I’ll) ask to Turkey before. He will (He’ll) come to see me. Napomena: Uz 1. lice jednine i množine se koristi oblik shall u britanskom engleskom.

Will + infinitive without to Negative (Odrični oblik) se tvori od modalnog glagola WILL + NOT + infinitiv bez TO glavnog glagola WILL NOT = WON’T SHALL NOT = SHAN’T They will not (won’t) come to see us. She will not (won’t) help me. I think I will not (won’t) go to the party after all.

  4. Grammar 1. Will + infinitive without to Questions (Pitanja) tvorimo inverzijom, tj. zamjenom mjesta modalno glagola i subjekta: Will you wait for me? Yes, I will. Will he come to see us? No, he won’t. Will they win the ganme? Yes, they will.

  5. Grammar 1. Will + infinitive without to USE • Da vršimo predviđanja zasnovana na našim mišljenjima ili vjerovanjima: He’ll make a good doctor. (this is my personal opinion). I think Poland will become a rich country one day. Who do you think will win the match?

  6. Grammar 1. Will + infinitive without to 2. Da donosimo iznenadnu odluku u momentu govora (ovo može biti neka ponuda ili opisivanje namjere): All right, I’ll help you with the housework. I think I won’t go to the party after all. I think I’ll go for a walk – I have a slight headache.

  7. Grammar 1. Will + infinitive without to 3. Da izražavamo namjere, obećanja i ponude: I’ll always be your friend. She will bring back your bicycle tomorrow. I promise I won’t be late.

  8. Grammar 1. Will + infinitive without to 4. Da postavimo zahtjev ili uputimo poziv: Will you wait for me? Will you come to my party on Saturday?

  9. Grammar 2. Be going to + infinitive without to FORM I am going to write a letter to John this evening. When are you going to visit your parents? What are you going to buy? It is going to rain tomorrow. He is not going to come. She is going to be sorry.

  10. Grammar 2. Be going to + infinitive without to USE • Da vršimo predviđanja o budućem događaju koja su zasnovana na onome što vidimo ili znamo sada: He’s going to fail the test. (we notice that he doesn’t study much). Look at those clouds; it’s going to rain.

  11. Grammar 2. Be going to + infinitive without to 2. Da izražavamo namjeru da nešto uradimo: I’m going to change my lifestyle completely. I’m going to study medicine. My parents are going to move to the country.

  12. Grammar 3. Present Continuous Tense for expressing future events • Present Continuous upotrebljavamo da govorimo o budućim događajima koje smo mi odredili ili dogovorili: I’m starting a new job in June. (the arrangements have already been made). We’re going to the theatre tonight. (we’ve got the tickets).

  13. Grammar 4. Present Simple Tense for expressing future events Present Simple koristimo za izražavanje budućih zvaničnih događaja ili rasporeda koje mi ne možemo promijeniti, niti na koje možemo utjecati: The summer term begins on the 15th of February. My train leaves at 6.25 a.m. tomorrow.
