Units Available in Autumn 2009 / Spring 2010: Principles and Practice of Youth and Community Work Friday afternoons/ 3Saturdays Enabling Participation : Community Audit Tuesday afternoon Supervision in Professional Practice To be arranged All Different,All Equal Friday mornings Multi-Agency Working Thursday mornings Becoming a Critical and Reflective Practitioner Thursday afternoons Community Education for Social Change: Training the Trainers Friday mornings Alternatives to Violence Friday mornings Community Arts Friday Afternoons Independent Study To be arranged  Courses in the autumn term begin week beginning 28th September. For application forms please contact Janet BatsleerJ.Batsleer@mmu.ac.uk. if there is sufficient interest in a particular course in one locality, it may be possible to arrange to deliver the unit away from MMU. It may also be possible to arrange to deliver courses through Saturday or evening workshops at MMU. Each 20 credit unit can be linked to an independent study and an online Professional Development Unit to achieve a 60 credit PGCert. Preferential places on the courses will be offered FREEto staff from employers and agencies who commit to offer student placement opportunities in 2009/10. Entrance Requirement An existing professional qualification in youth and community work, social work, teaching or a related field.
