  5. S2 - Electives • Social Subjects • Sciences • Expressive Arts / Technologies • 1 period each per week • Choose 2 topics in each curricular area • Study each topic for half session

  7. S2 Science Elective 2012-13 • Thinking Science • Micro-beasts • Wash-bag chemistry • Forces and Space • Light up the Curriculum (Electric Circuits) • Horticulture

  9. S2 – Interdisciplinary Learning • Follow a topic across a number of different curricular areas, e.g: • Boxes: • Maths, Technical, Art, Home Economics • Joseph • Music, English

  11. S3 - Choice • Choose 2 subjects from these Curricular Areas (2 each): • Social Studies • Sciences • Expressive Arts / Languages • Health and Wellbeing / Technologies

  12. Senior Phase – S4-6 • New qualifications – National 3/4/5 • Most pupils will sit 6 National exams at end of S4 • Integrated choice form for greater flexibility and choice
