Master Planning Project • Purpose: Determine how we can modernize • our camp facilities and provide a 21st century • outdoor leadership experience for girls • Process: • Received feedback town hall meetings, surveys, focus groups, website, and service unit meetings • Property portfolio assessed through consultant and GSUSA site visits • Recommendations reviewed in detail at bi-monthly Property Committee meetings • Preliminary recommendations approved by Board in March

Final Recommendations • Develop 4 Centers of Excellence • Camp Bette Perot, Palestine • Camp Whispering Cedars, Dallas • Camp K, Pottsboro • Camp Gambill, Sumner • Sell/phase out 2 camps • Camp Whispering Oaks, Aubrey • Camp Rocky Point, Dennison • Assess options for East Texas Regional Service Center, Tyler

Leadership Centers of Excellence • Bette Perot: • Equestrian • Adventure (Ropes, Archery) • Whispering Cedars: • STEM: Science, Tech, Engineering and Math • Culture • Culinary • Gambill: • Introductory/Foundational Camping Experience for Girls and Adults • K: • Waterfront • Naturalist and Conservation Programs

  6. Site Disposals and Changes • Sell Camp Whispering Oaks • Phase down Camp Rocky Point as Camp K is developed • Explore alternatives for the East Texas Service Center (relocation or repurpose)

  7. Next Steps • Continue refinement of proposed phases for property work and capital campaign • Continue refinement of programmatic offerings for each center of excellence • Develop case statement for campaign , initial donor collateral, and communication plan • Hold discovery meetings with potential large donors • Determine next steps for East Texas Service Center in Tyler
