  5. Apollo 2 July 21, 1966 obtain flight information under orbital conditions.

  6. Apollo 3 August 25, 1966 evaluate: spacecraft separations, detection systems, heat shield, etc.

  7. Apollo 4 -November 9, 1967 -Unmanned -first Saturn V launch

  8. Apollo 5 January 22, 1968 Throttle back rocket engine “Fire in the Hole”

  9. Apollo 6 • April 4, 1968 • Last unmanned test flight • A lot of malfunctions

  10. Apollo 7 • October 11, 1968 • 163 orbits • Demonstrate meeting capability of the space craft
