  4. OCR • Still responding to analysis of 0809 • We will wait on review of RM# until we get some indication that Roster Management numbers and Financial Aid numbers are officially within the guidelines • Expect campus visit sometime after the new year…

  5. Audits and ACS Visit • CSU audit..includes • Controls on recruiting travel • We depend a lot on coach entered information • Will need to put system in to randomly match with travel records • Contacts and Evaluation Limits • Again we depend a lot of coach entered info ACS..program/system for monitoring recruitment On-Campus Demonstration January 25….

  6. Upcoming Dates • FINALS WEEK (no hrs req’d) • M-F 7:30am – 5pm • Tutors by appt only (see Robert or advisor) • Laptops available for overnight check out • January 3—grades due • ATHL Rosters!!! • January 19—Spring Semester begins

  7. Accuracy of PSA Info • Please check SOCIAL SECURITY # carefully on every prospect form • 3 “mismatched IDs” in 2 weeks • 2 Wrong SSN on Prospect Form • 1 Student left SSN blank on app • We can’t track PSA info until we realize it • App will not be processed until fixed • REALLY-- REALLY --MESSES THINGS UP

Fall Book Return • Must be returned to David’s office by 5 pm, Friday Dec. 17 • Any exceptions must be pre-arranged with David • Bring all books at once IN PERSON • Will check against voucher while s-a waits • If s-a does not return books or have arrangements made, he/she will be charged on their student account

  9. Spring Book Pickup • Early arrival sports: arrange date/time during week of Jan. 10 • All other sports pick up Jan. 19: schedule emailed to you, will adjust as needed

Out-of-Season or Unattached Competition • Please clear any team or individual competition with John before participation • This includes scrimmages, practice involving another institution, unattached competition, out-of-season competition and outside competition during vacation periods • Remind your student-athletes, their eligibility can be affected!

  11. Time between terms • Important to give SAs guidance on activities between terms • Assure if not returning withdraw from institution, remedy leases or housing contracts, clear all financial commitments to institution. Coach should provide cut/quit form ASAP to compliance. • No representation on another team or participation in a contest or event unless approved by compliance….

  12. TIME BETWEEN TERMS • Coaches should review first semester records and be sure files are up to date • Coaches should review budget and make adjustments as needed for 2nd semester • Prospects signed in the early signing should have all documents to admissions and eligibility center except final transcripts… • Update 2nd semester practice and competition calendars….be sure to consult with support staff prior to adjusting times

  13. Reminder: Roster Changes • Don’t forget to coordinate all roster additions/drops with Jennifer • Submit Change In Status Form for everyone who will not be continuing, including graduates and walk-ons • Additions need to complete add process

  14. Phone Logs • Please enter ALL calls to PSAs in CAi by then end of each month • Please enter a phone number with each call • After a PSA has signed a valid NLI or if it is an unlimited period (i.e. official visit, in person contact day, etc.), enter first call to PSA and make a note for that call indicating it is unlimited and why • Please contact me if you know that an impermissible call has taken place

  15. PSA Status Updates • You will/have been receiving status update reports for your current PSAs • If there are PSAs on your reports whom you are no longer recruiting or who are missing from the report, please let me know promptly • Seventh semester transcripts are important and should be brought to your SAS as soon as they are available • The sooner your PSAs send all their info to the EC, the sooner they will be processed!

  16. SAAC Activities • One group event each term • One group community service event each term • Bulldog Bowl Points…Competition • Academics • Athletics • Community Service(point system) • Attendance at Dept. Events

  17. Reminders • For all competition during winter break please submit competition rosters to David-ASAP! • Complimentary admissions lists for MBK and WBK games during winter break to Jennifer-ASAP! • Next Meeting: January 11, 9 a.m.
