  1. TEMPLES AND TELEVISION - PROMOTING SPIRITUALITY Technology is now ready to promote spiritualism with the advent of spiritual television channels. The Temple, a primary place for spiritual practice is now accessible to all from everywhere. Lets take a look at how the partnership has evolved and what the future holds for the temples, channels and the worshipper.

  2. BEFORE THE ADVENT OF TELEVISION Temples were accessible primarily to those who had • The Health: Physically disabled and people with health afflictions usually were left out of the opportunity to seek blessings from their beloved deities. • The Money: Expenses like traveling, boarding and food had to be accounted for when worshippers were coming in from outside. The average man had to fork out a hefty sum if he wished to seek the blessings of his deity. • The Time: People had to be left with time to be able to visit the temple and this was becoming increasingly tougher as the race to accumulate more meant very little time for everything else.

  3. AFTER THE ADVENT OF TELEVISION • Spiritual Channels like AASTHA arrived on the scene and revolutionized the process of seeking blessings. Today people can benefit from the darshanof their favorite temples sitting at home anywhere in India or around the World. • Temples are now accessible to all, even the disabled since television now eliminates the need for travel. • With television now available in almost all homes, the cost ofdarshan is now a fraction of the cost involved otherwise.
