He was born in Hamburg, Germany on May 7th, 1833 • Johannes was born second out of three kids • He loved music so much he learned to play the piano at the age seven • Johannes Brahms never got married but had very many love affairs • He was the 19th centaury's greatest composer in the romantic era Biographical Information

  3. By the time he was a teenager, Brahms was already an accomplished musician, and he used his talent to earn money at local inns, in brothels and along the city's docks to ease his family's often tight financial conditions

  4. In 1853 Brahms was introduced to the renowned German composer and music critic Robert Schumann. He dubbed Brahms a genius and praised the "young eagle" publicly in a famous article. The kind words quickly made the young composer a known entity in the music world. Influences

  5. He made 122 compositions in his life time. Most of his music was made for all of his lovers. • Here are some of his major works A German Requiem • Violin Concerto in D Major • Hungarian Dances • Variations on a Theme by Paganini • His Lullaby Composers work
