  3. Lesson Objectives • To Investigate the problem of HIV and AIDs in Zambia • To understand the difference between HIV and AIDs • To recap the definitions of the key terms

  4. Video- Dispatches • Please fill in worksheet during the video

  5. Homework- Due Monday 27th Feb Critically examine the following statement, “The problems associated with AIDs are growing”. • Your report should be at least 1 page long • It should include a map which is referred to • It should examine social, economic, political and environmental factors which link with the epidemic • It should be a balanced argument • It should refer to specific theories/knowledge (e.g. models (e.g. epidemic, theorists (e.g. Brandt) case studies (e.g. Zambia) and key statistics (e.g. from PowerPoint)

  6. Reading • If you’ve got a spare 15 minutes and want to get ahead/ want some more information, go to the ‘Miss Woodhead’ folder in fronter and click on ‘notes on eptran’. It has more information on communicable and non-communicable diseases

  8. Plenary • Pairs in Pairs! • Player 1 in your pair has the correct definitions of the key terms (in file) • Player 2 plays pairs until they’ve matched all of the cards. • Player 1 guides them as to whether they’ve got them right
