  3. Purdue Science Workshops • June 9-11 • Purdue University • Grades 9-12 • Aerospace, Ambassador, Animal (large & small), Computer, Engineering, Entomology, Food & Nutrition, Plant, Mission to Mars

  4. Indiana 4-H Youth Round-Up • June 21-23 • Purdue University • Grades 7-9 • Live in a Purdue Residence Hall, meet youth from across Indiana, and attend career exploration sessions

  5. State 4-H Junior Leader Conference • June 15-18 • University of Indianapolis • Grades 9-12

  6. Electric Workshop • June 18-20 • Purdue University • Completed Division 3 or above of Electric Project • Wire switches and receptacles • Build a magnetic powered flashlight. • Use of meters to measure electrical current, voltage and resistance. • Build an electronic "Decision Maker".

  7. State 4-H Band • June 19-21 • Purdue University • Perform at Round-Up • Grades 9-12

  8. State 4-H Chorus • June 19-23 • Purdue University • Perform at Round-Up & the Indiana State Fair • Grades 9-12

  9. Citizenship Washington Focus • June 26 - July 3 • Washington D.C. • 15 years old and up

  10. State Fair Youth Leadership Conference • August 3-8 • Indiana School for the Deaf/ State Fairgrounds • Grades 9-12

  11. Indiana 4-H Youth Congress • October 2 • Indianapolis • Grades 8-12

  12. National 4-H Dairy Conference • September 26 - 30 • Madison, Wisconsin • Grades 10 and up

  13. State Fair Achievement Trip • October 27 - 31 • Washington D.C. • Awarded to winners in Public Speaking/Demonstration, Fashion Revue, Tractor Driving, Bicycle Rodeo, State 4-H/FFA Career Development Events, Rabbit & Poultry Illustrated Talks, Rabbit Ambassadors and Career Development Events

  14. National 4-H Congress • November 26 - 30 • Atlanta, Georgia • Grade 9 and up

  15. State Fair 4-H Exhibit Building Workers • 4-H members at least 15 years old by the start of work • End of July through the end of the Indiana State Fair, 2010 (full and part-time positions available) • Assist with 4-H Exhibit Building set-up, check-in, judging, tear-down, and public relations with fair-goers. • Applications available through County Extension office and are due April 1.

  16. 4-H Scholarships • Indiana 4-H Foundation - Grade 12 applicants; for any post secondary education • 4-H Accomplishment - Grade 10-12 applicants • State 4-H Club - Grade 12, based in part on financial need, students at Purdue in College of Agriculture or Consumer and Family Sciences • Plant Science – Grade 10-12 applicants • Applications due January 15; contact County Extension Office for more details

  17. Key Club Award • Award to recognize members for their tenure and participation in the 4-H Program. • Members who have at least a 5-year tenure and who are 4-H Jr. Leaders may apply • Application forms are available from the County Extension Office. Forms due to State 4-H Office by June 15.
