  3. 23,000 elementary children in South Dakota will benefit from the program in 2011-2012 • Schools will receive approximately $74.00 per student

  4. $50-$75 per student Majority of funds to be spent on fresh fruits and fresh vegetables 10% of money can be used for administering the program— Reasonable amounts can be spent on operating costs Allocation of Funds…

  5. Funding $$ • One pot of money for August and September • Allocation letter will be sent to the Authorized Rep in late July-early Aug. • Addendum included—sign and return to CANS office • no grant money is paid out until this is on file

  6. Funding $$ • New pot of money for October through May • Allocation letter will be sent to the Authorized Rep in mid October

  15. Claim Submission Deadline • Claims due by: 10th of the month following the month covered by the claim • Example: September’s claim is due October 10th • The August/September claim is the only claim that can be combined. • Send original to Cody Stoeser.
