SPSU’S NATIONAL RANKINGS • Number ONE in the US in the number of BS degrees in engineering technology awarded to African American students • Number FOUR in the number of students enrolled in engineering technology programs • Number FIVE in the number of engineering technology degrees awarded to women • Number SIX in the number of engineering technology degrees awarded • Number FOUR in SAT scores in the University System of Georgia

  5. STEERING COMMITTEE • Over eighteen seasoned engineers with an average of forty years of experience covering all aspects of nuclear generation • A ready pool of subject matter experts • Willingness to devote and volunteer time and get paid little to make the program succeed

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT • Provide avenues for nuclear careers that at present do not exist in universities • Accessibility of the program by all type of professionals and two year college graduates • Pre and post employment certification on five major nuclear technical and management areas • Indoctrination on the high nuclear standard work culture (H&S, EP, NS, Security, GWP’s) • Development of labor pools through training and co-op programs for all industry members
