The Language – to set the scene The problem: • Professional arts, amateur arts, community arts, high arts, arts and crafts, performing arts, cultural policy, cultural planning, cultural development, arts participation, community based arts, art and design, community cultural development, cultural action, cultural capital cultural democracy, cultural equity, voluntary arts… Great activity; but nationally is this language really understood by policy makers ?
