  2. Each child is different from the other, that is why they respond to things in a different way. While there might be some children who fall in love with education right at the onset, there are many others who have to be motivated and shown the way. At our preschool Torrance, CA we deal with many children who show resist learning. While we do our bit at the school, we also require the help of parents to infuse the fun-factor into learning. And with that notion in mind, we would like to share some simple tips to improve the learning capabilities of your children.

  3. Tips to Improve Learning Capabilities of Children Make Reading a part of Regular Activity: Reading out to the child or motivating him/her to read every day can be a great way of improving their interest in learning. You need not keep a dedicated reading time (which is mostly the time before going to bed), but create schedules as per the convenience. On a sunny day, you might take the child to a park and pack some books too. While the child enjoys the sun, read out some stories and then urge the child to read something out too.

  4. Coordinate with the Teacher: Your child's teacher sees him/her five days every week and understands the problem your kid is facing. So, it is important to coordinate with the teacher and ask for support. The teacher would be more than willing to suggest some improvement areas as well as recommend learning activities at home.

  5. Homework time should be quality time: If your child dislikes completing assignments sent as homework then you have to find a way of doing it together. Instead of letting him/her work on the homework alone you should accompany the child wherever possible. Convey to the child how much you enjoy this time and that would get the child excited about doing homework.

  6. Let the child rest adequately:Children need 8-9 hours of sound sleep. Insufficient sleep can be a leading cause for a lack of focus on academics. You do not want your child to go to school with fatigue. Make sure that the child sleeps early and that can be attained only if you are willing to go to bed early. These are some of the advice we provide to parents at our preschool Torrance, CA and hope they are as effective for your instance.
