  2. vegans • Vegans, who are strict vegetarians – they do not eat any animal products. • They live entirely on plant food such as cereals , nuts fruit and vegetables.

  3. Reasons why people become vegans. • 1) because they think it is morally wrong to kill or harm animals. • 2) Because they believe it is environmental wasteful to fatten animals on land that can produce plant food more cheaply.

  4. Veganism • Definition: Veganism is the practice of abstaining from animal products. • Symptoms: if diet is done wrong can cause deficiency in certain vitamins and minerals like vitamin B 12, Iron, vitamin D, calcium, iodine and omega 3 fatty acids. If done right can help prevent heart disease and other conditions caused by too much saturated fat.

  5. Sample menu Breakfast • Fruit juice, • Cereal, • Porridge (made with water), • Toast, • Tea

  6. Lunch: • Whole-wheat bread • Marmite • Soup • Nuts • Raisins • Juice

  7. Dinner: • Curried TVP • Noodle dishes • Risottos • Stir fries • Pasta dishes • Salads • Vegetables • Fruit.
