  1. My top three Funniest comedians of the decade From Lee Evans to Alan Carr we have a variety of different comedians who have very different styles, this list will tell you in my opinion the top three comedians of the decade.

  2. 1. Dawn French This larger than life woman has starred in many comedy shows including French and Saunders and my personal favourite The vicar of Dibly. She and Saunders won a fellowship BAFTA award and was nominated for seven BAFTA's. Originally French and Saunders met at college and disliked each other due to there enthusiasm being in different fields but they soon became friends during college after being encouraged by there flat mates to try comedy for part of there course which they clearly was very successful at doing. French has also appeared in films such as Harry Potter and the prisoner of Askaban and The Lion the witch and the wardrobe to name a few. She is an extremely talented woman with a quick whit and brilliant comic timing.

  3. 2. Lee Evens Lee Evan's is defiantly one of the top comedians at the moment, he has just finished his roadrunners tours that saw all tickets sold out. He broke the world record for a solo act performing to the biggest comedy audience at 10,108 Evans' sweatiness drenches him on stage. During most of his headlining performances, he often takes an intermission, during which he has a quick shower and changes into a different suit; he once said that this was because he was "as nervous as a nun awaiting her pregnancy test results". He has also said that his suits are regularly thrown away after just one performance, mainly because of the sweat, with dry-cleaners refusing to handle them! Evans tour in the UK in 2008 saw him perform in front of over 500,000 people on 59 dates. The DVD was filmed at the O2 arena and it became the best selling comedy DVD in the UK for Christmas 2008 selling over 1,000,000 copies.

  4. 3. Leigh Francis Francis's major television career kicked off when Channel four offered him £250000 to create a series based on his impressions of television characters such as Bobby Stark and Barry Gibson, which led to Bo 'Selecta being created in 2002. The series featured Francis portraying a series of celebrities by wearing face masks to impersonate them, and well as portraying the main, non-celebrity character, Avid Merrion. The programme lasted for five series, airing between 2002 and 2006. Once Bo' Selecta was axed, Francis took one of the series characters, Keith Lemon, and created a brand new show, Keith Lemon's Very Brilliant World Tour, which aired on ITV2 in April 2008 and in my opinion is defiantly one of the most funny things I've watched. After the success of his new series Francis created another new show featuring Lemon called Celebrity Juice, which has aired six series to date. Lemon has also co-hosted Sing if You Can, and is rumoured to have his own brand new ITV1 Saturday night series, The Bang Tidy Show. Francis as Keith Lemon has also had slots on ITV'S this morning and had his own fitness DVD out and is suppose to start filming Keith Lemon the film very soon. Which I am defiantly looking forward to.
