  3. Data Services Environment (DSE) • DSE provides easy access and interface with several NCES capabilities • Metadata Registry has an enhanced User Interface, in support of the DSE theme

  7. Taxonomy Improvements • Taxonomies can now be viewed in a tree hierarchy on IR Details pages • Taxonomies can be used in the Net-Centric Publisher (NCP) to categorize services

  8. Data Currency • Namespace administrators can now mark IRs as "Current and Correct" according to the rules of their governance namespace • Namespace administrators receive monthly reports about their namespace inventories

  9. Improved Account Security • New hyperlink-based Account Sponsor workflow replaces the old email-based system • Accounts are now deactivated after 60 days of inactivity. Users are warned 14 days in advance • ebXML Query web services are now protected with DoD PKI / ECA, rather than self-signed certificates • Automated messages from MDR are now digitally signed

Other Enhancements • Additional criteria for searching on the Advanced Search page • Proof-of-concept Federation capability uses ebXML Federation framework to allow searches of other ebXML registries • Proof-of-concept OpenSearch capability exposes MDR search results via OpenSearch (DoD PKI / ECA required) • Miscellaneous security fixes and resolved defects
