  4. Most targeted organizations • Phishing scams are most likely to target: • PayPal • eBay • Bank of America • HSBC

  5. Is Phishing Successful? • About three percent of phishing traps are clicked • Those three percent bring millions of dollars to scammers • In 2007, 3.6 million Americans were victims of phishing • Combined, those 3.6 million people lost $3.2 billion

  6. Public Awareness • Consumers are catching on to Phishing • The Anti-Phishing Workgroup is working to stop phishing • The top 3 internet browsers have phishing filters • Most email providers have strict phishing filters
