WorkSite Project Introduction • Vision • Deliver a document management system based upon Interwoven WorkSite NT and Interwoven Universal Search (IUS) that makes it easy to file and find documents and email messages throughout the firm. • Global rollout affecting all offices and just under 3000 end users. • Objectives • Capturing intellectual property with context to preserve and leverage critical information, thereby enabling the right team members to readily access the right content. • Enabling repeatable, matter-centric collaboration (MCC) around business processes to optimize decision making, coordination, and execution. • Aiding policy and process enforcement across distributed offices while increasing accountability through secured content interaction and audit trails.

Understanding Matter Centric Collaboration (MCC) • Work with an electronic file in the same manner as a physical file • Save data into a defined electronic folder • Share information across departments, groups and locations both internally and externally • Search and retrieve information easily • Promote cross-collaboration and knowledge sharing • Save documents quickly and apply standard metadata to them

Workspace Concepts • A shared location for all the content for a particular matter, project, department, group, or unit • Contains tabs, folders and saved searches • Can be organized by using Categories (within My Matters) or Tabs • Workspaces/Tabs/Folders/Documents can all be secured individually • Workspaces have Three defined Levels of Security Public, Private and View • Types of Workspaces – Personal, Project, Matter or Departmental

The Electronic Matter File • Known as a “Workspace” in the WorkSite world – it is equivalent to a physical file • The Workspace and its tab and folder contents function as an electronic matter file • Within the Workspace are folders that are equivalent to sub-files that can contain not only documents but email and other electronic files as well
