  4. Philosophy We believe in 3 concepts: RESPECT, HARD WORK, AND DEDICATION. We believe that every girl/boy is part of a team. There are 3 components to that team: Coach, Cheerleader and Parent. In order to have a successful year, all 3 must work together as one cohesive unit. “Winning isn’t everything, but wanting to win is.”

TRYOUTS Dates Requirements • Clinic: Friday, April 26th 6pm-8pm • Clinic: Monday, April 29th 6pm-8pm • Clinic: Tuesday, April 30th 6pm-8pm • Clinic: Wednesday, May 1st 6pm-8pm • Mock Tryouts: Thursday, May 2nd 4pm-8pm • Tryouts: Friday, May 3rd, 4pm-8pm **All in the 900’s Gym • Learn cheer • Learn dance • Choreograph Cheer (45 sec) • Choreograph Dance (1 min) • Wear Hair up in a high pony tail. • Wear Red, Black or White (no tank tops or spaghetti straps or short shorts or jean shorts) • Wear cheer shoes (athletic shoes) • No gum, nail polish or jewelry

  7. Important Dates Tryouts—Friday, May 3rd (New team will be posted on school website immediately following completion of tryouts). Practices begin: Tuesday, May 7th 3pm-5pm Varsity Uniform fitting for new girls: Friday, May 17th 3pm-4pm Spring Football Game: Thursday, May 23rd Cheer Camp July 18th-21st UCI [{Calendar will include all these dates and more}]

  8. Practices May: Tuesday-Thursday 3pm-5pm Quad Grass Area June: Monday-Thursday 6pm-8pm 900’s Gym July: Monday-Thursday 9am-12pm 900’s Gym August-April: Immediately after school-5pm

  9. Expectations • Follow the contract • Cheer for all sports • Promote School Spirit • Volunteer in the community • Show respect for yourself, your coaches, your team, your school and your community. • Get good grades

  10. Boosters • Select a new Booster Board after tryouts • Work closely to accomplish our common goal: The success of this team • Raise money to defray costs
