  1. MDT tubes time spectra 1 tdc count = 0.78 ns Trigger window = 1.6 ms 168000 triggers collected 2 hits in 156 ns nNOISE~ 75 Hz ( tdc counts ) 12 hits in 156 ns nNOISE~ 460 Hz ( tdc counts ) trigger-related noise 98 hits in 156 ns nNOISE~ 3.7 kHz The high noise level is caused by non proper grounding connections ( tdc counts )

  2. With a more accurate grounding connections (ground pins and screws on the ground plates) the situation has improved 1 tdc count = 0.78 ns Trigger window = 1.6 ms 63000 triggers collected 0 hits in 156 ns nNOISE~ 0 Hz ( tdc counts ) 2 hits in 156 ns nNOISE~ 200 Hz ( tdc counts ) 1 hit in 156 ns nNOISE~ 100 Hz The different lenght in the time spactra is dued to the gas flow-meter miscalibration ( tdc counts )
