Fort Benning Futures Partnership An organization that takes a comprehensive regional approach to preparing us for growth. • Formed mid 2003 in anticipation of 2005 BRAC process • Mission: Develop and facilitate an overall strategy to prepare our community for orderly change prompted by Fort Benning • Communicate and coordinate with local/regional community leaders, and State and Federal Officials • Provide periodic community updates throughout the region • Today involves 6 counties in Georgia and 3 in Alabama

Recommendations Impacting Fort Benning Consolidate the Armor & Infantry Centers and Schools to create a Maneuver Center at Fort Benning, GA Drill Sergeants Training is realigned from three locations (Fort Benning, GA; Fort Jackson, SC; and Fort Leonard Wood, MO) to one location (Fort Jackson) Relocate the 81st RRC Equipment Concentration Site to Ft. Benning, GA. Close the United States Army Reserve Center, Columbus, Georgia and relocate and consolidate those units together with Army Reserve Units currently on Fort Benning into a new United States Army Reserve Center on Fort Benning, Georgia.
