Intermodal transport • Intermodal transport • Movement of goods in one and the same loading unit or road vehicle, which uses successively two or more modes of transport without handling of the goods themselves in changing modes. • Goal • Reduction of GHG/CO2 emissions through modal shift to rail transport • Target outlined in EC´s Transport White Paper
