  1. Brief • Looking For Eric is a British/ French/ Belgium film • It is about a football fanatic fan. How the escape from trials of modern life that football and its heroes can bring for its fans • Written by Paul Laverty • Directed by Ken Loach • Produced by Rebecca Obrien

  2. Audience • The certificate of the film is rated 15 this is because of the excessive dialogue and violence • The target audience is also for young adults upwards because it is a psychological battle, and for this the viewer would need to have some maturity • However this film may gain a lot of male viewers simply because of Cantonas’ past success • Footballers will also be targeted because the film shows how footballers can provide happiness in everyday life and how it can help set peoples life right

  3. This poster is used to attract a different audiences it has a feel of romance to it which would most likely attract women. From the facial expressions it suggests that there will be some laugh. The use of round edges on the letters give it a slightly more feminine touch to the titles as they are curved and curved rather than rough which is usually used for some action films. Eric is holding flowers which is a common gesture of romance and the body language of himself and the women in the shot with him show that they are a couple. However links to a comedic genre are used as Eric is not looking at his partner but his eyes are looking towards Cantona to almost show to the audience that his love for Cantona is bigger than his real life love which shows that he has more time for Cantona and the female character will have to fight for his attention. This give away hints to the romance side of the storyline in the film and also the use of the image of Eric Cantona shows that he is a guide to the main character as he takes up the majority of the poster and has quite a serious look on his face. The image is slightly faded which shows that he almost isn't there, therefore the other character is almost chasing after something that may or may not be there.
