Where We Were • Mar ‘08 FDOT study Phase 2, shows need for up to 80 million sq. ft. of warehouse and distribution space by 2015 • May ‘08 Florida Legislature appropriates $300,000 for FDOT to conduct a rail feasibility study along US 27 • June ‘08 SFWMD announces plans to purchase 187,000 acres of US Sugar land

  9. Where FDOT Is Going • FDOT is conducting a feasibility study of implementing rail along the US-27 corridor • The expectation is that this is feasible • Upon completion of the FULL study, the finding will be submitted to the Florida Legislature

  11. Where We’re Going Upon awarding the ILC contract, the Port of Palm Beach and the selected partner will work towards the creation of a Public - Private - Partnership to develop, manage and operate the Intermodal Logistics Center
