Evaluation Criteria: • Complexity(of conflicts and dysfunctions) • DIversity of existing conflicts/level of impact(types/number of conflicts) • Feasibility and Capacity(for the City Municipality to transform the space) • Security threats(from displacement, insufficient lighting etc.) • Relevance (belonging to a common public space network) • Participating interest(stakeholders and users have expressed interest) • Actuality(in the context of Riga Historical Centre development)

  18. Latviešu Strēlnieku Square Key functions: Public outdoor space for social function, cultural events and recreation in relation to development of the Daugava Embankment, Museum of the Occupation of Latvia and Riga Technical University, transit for pedestrians and bicyclers.

  19. Spīķeru Street and Adjacent Territory Key functions: Public outdoor space serves for provision of market complex functions and commercial activity, in the interim it is also used for socialising events.
