  1. Introduction to “stellar and interstellar physics team”FY2013 http://milkyway.sci.kagoshima-u.ac.jp/~imai/research.html Hiroshi Imai Department of Physics and Astronomy, Graduate School of Science, Kagoshima University

  2. Radio Movie Biweekly, 112-frame, monitoring observations with the VLBA (Gonidakis et al. 2010) SiO v=1 J=1-0 masers around TX Cam (Diamond & Kemball 2003) Our goals: multi-line (H2O, SiO) and Multi-transition radio movies

  3. Main research themes • Stellar and interstellar astrophysics • Mass loss from dying stars AGB stars, OH/IR stars, pre-planetary and planetary nebulae • Stellar pulsation of long period variable stars Mira and semi-regular/irregular variable stars • Astronomical masers microwave amplification by stimulated emission of radiation OH, H2O, SiO, (HCN, CH3OH, …) Star forming regions, circumstellar envelopes, Extragalactic circumnuclear disks • Life of stars in the Milky Way • Annual parallax and secular motions of maser sources • Orbit determinations of target stars for exploring stellar evolution and star formation process • Study on ongoing/future large radio interferometers • Square Kilometer Array (SKA): 2020~ • Australian SKA Pathfinder (ASKAP): 2014~ • RadioAstron (Russian space VLBI): 2013~
