Suggestions to improve the organization of the program • The training program partially reflects a stimulated and active environment Reassess and implement the strategic context of the program • The training should be augmented with an assessment and monitoring evaluation tools Provide an excellent set of learning evaluation and follow-up tools

  4. Strong points of the organization of the program • Exposure trips to other scientific and library institutions/organizations which allows the participants to develop plans on “best practice benchmarking” • Applaudable efforts were done to make electronic and multimedia resources available to the participants

Best components of the program academic contents • Management in libraries and information centers • Statistics to support decision making for information science and for library management • Citation analysis • Informetric aspects of the Internet • Libraries involvement in scientific publishing • ISBD and Thesaurus • Information Retrieval and Searching • Open Source Software

  6. Not so good components of the program academic contents • The academic contents were not in conformity with the approach and the organization of the sessions • Some lectures lack depth and impact in analyzing libraries’ actual and potential problems

  7. Recommendations for the management in my home institution • Maximize the utilization of free information resources to create electronic library initiatives on working practices and on traditional forms of service delivery • A continuing reassessment of services that may be strengthened or diminished according to changing user needs in order to improve organizational productivity
