2. Douglas Engelbart Engelbart lived from 1925-2013. He was an engineer and inventor. In 1964 he invented the computer mouse. Englebart researched and developed hypertext. His developments led to the first word processor.

3. Steve Jobs Jobs lived from 1955-2011. He co-founded Apple Inc. in 1976. He also co-founded Pixar Animation Studios 1986. Jobs left Apple from 1985 until 1996. He created the NeXT computer platform in 1985.

4. Tim Berners-Lee Berners-Lee was born in 1955. He is a computer scientist who worked with hypertext. In 1980 he developed ENQUIRE, a hypertext program. He invented the World Wide Web in 1990. He also invented the first web browser, now known as Nexus.

5. Jeff Bezos Bezos was born in 1964. He attended Princeton University. In 1994 he created Amazon.com. He funded the Clock of the Long Now. Bezos also founded the spaceflight company Blue Origin.

6. Elon Musk Musk was born in 1971 in South Africa. He co-founded X.com and PayPal. He co-founded SpaceX, a space travel company. Musk is most well-known for co-founding Tesla Motors. The Tesla Roadster was the first production car to use lithium-ion battery cells.
