Early life • Thomas mind often wandered in class his teacher called him lazy. • He developed hearing problems very early in his life due to scarlet fever, but Thomas suggest its do to when a conductor hit him on the ears. His mom taught him most of the his education through R.G. Parkers school of natural physiology. Thomas had a chemical laboratory in a rail car until it caught on fire and he was kicked out of the train.

  6. The light bulb is one of his most famous inventions. He also invented the phonograph which is a record player. When of his inventions is not that famous but we use it every day (for people that speak English) hello. Thomas wanted to make that a universal telephone greeting but it ended up as being a greeting that’s used more than in telephones.

  7. How Thomas Edison's inventions impacted our life. • Thomas Edison made all of our life's easier with the invention of the light bulb. If it was not for him we still would be stuck with a wax and oil. This meant the removal of a fire hazard. • The invention of the phonograph eventually lead to the invention to the invention of the CD. • Also he improved the battery and the media world

  8. Interesting Facts • He built his first lab when he was 10 • He started to lose his hearing and he like it because he could concentrate more on his projects. • He saved a 3 year old boy from being killed by a train. • He proposed to his wife with morse code.

Early years • She had gone to primary school and then went to a Polish boarding schools. • Her father was fired from his high paying job because the Russians thought that he was being to pro Polish. • After she finished middle school she had to wait a year and a half because she did not have enough money to afford collage.

  12. She contributed largely to the x ray machine because she studied a lot with radiology.

  13. How this effected us? The x ray machines allows us to see the bones in our body and other solids. Which greatly helps with operations and exams. With her knowledge in radiology she helped with radiology therapy. She also contributed her knowledge about radioactivity which eventually led to nuclear power plants.

  14. Interesting facts • She died of leukemia because of radioactive exposure. • All of her text book and papers still contain high levels of radioactivity and are stored in lead boxes. • The element curium was named in her honor. • She was the first woman to receive the noble prize.
